The woman, Leonia White, was being pushed in her wheelchair at the corner of West 145th Street and Seventh Avenue at the time of the June 2 incident. A former dean of the Baylor University School of Law was killed after apparently losing control of his car in an early morning car crash on May 28. Police believe the victim, 87-year-old Angus McSwain, lost control of his vehicle on a Waco, Texas, roadway, causing him to crash through a fence and then hit a house. McSwain was unresponsive when police officers discovered him. Authorities believe McSwain may have suffered some kind of medical episode prior to the collision. The victim, Laura Kavazanjian, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her fiance, David Reidy, when the collision occurred over Memorial Day weekend.
